Feels Like Summer Styled Shoot
Through the photos of the "Feels like Summer" styled shoot, you can almost feel the warmth of late summer in Zadar and experience part of the atmosphere of intimate designer weddings in the historical surroundings of the fairytale Zadar peninsulaWeddings on the Adriatic coast are becoming more and more attractive to engaged couples from all over the world. Among the most popular destinations are the well-known Dubrovnik and Hvar, and the list regularly includes Istria. However, there are many destinations on our coast that can offer a lot and are often overlooked. On this occasion, through a styled shoot, we wanted to present Zadar as an ideal location for a summer destination wedding. The Zadar peninsula is a beautiful locality that hides wonderful locations for photography, beautiful historic churches, and charming boutique hotels, ideal for intimate love celebrations. One such place is the Almayer Art & Heritage Hotel which, with its secluded ivy-covered courtyard, served as an ideal location for this project. In the heart of the peninsula, just minutes from the famous “Greeting to the sun” installation, this small hotel hides a beautiful glasshouse, perfect for micro weddings with an emphasis on design elements.
This styled shoot was dominated by a neutral color palette inspired by organic elements. It is both timeless and elegant and can be a whole theme or imbued with small decorative elements, so it was the right choice for our theme, “Feels like Summer”. The floral designer combined dried herbs and the popular pampas grass with monochromatic white and neutral colored flowers, paying tribute to summer. The accent of the decor in the space was a hanging chandelier made of dried flowers that hung like a cloud over the guest table and added industrial glam. “Flower clouds” are a big trend in wedding design in the last few years and we believe that, with the development of micro weddings where great emphasis is placed on specific design elements, this trend will remain for a long time. Using the black color that appears in cutlery elements and candlesticks, the decor is associated with the beautiful space of the Almayer Hotel and its steel glasshouse in an industrial style. Unique and interesting elements of the layout are a key trend in decorating the wedding table.
In order to achieve the overall goal of this shoot–to showcase the Croatian wedding scene and domestic service providers, we used two wedding dresses by local designer Ivana Čizmadija and her brand Gray Bridal, while the suit was by the Croatian brand Veštit from Split. Through the photos, you can almost feel the warmth of late summer in Zadar and experience part of the atmosphere of intimate designer weddings in the historical surroundings of the fairytale Zadar peninsula.
